Genshin Impact’s Raiden Shogun is the electro archon of Inazuma, and just as powerful as you’d hope the holder of that title would be. A key player in one of the most powerful Spiral Abyss team comps to date, her amazing damage output, electro application, and battery capabilities makes her a valuable asset to any player’s roster. So let’s delve into the plane of euthmiya as we discuss Genshin Raiden‘s best build, weapons, artifacts, and more.
Of course, Genshin Impact’s Baal is just one of the many characters that populate Mihoyo’s open-world RPG. So, if you would like to learn more, check out our Genshin Impact Kokomi, Genhin Impact Thoma, Genshin Impact Yoimiya, and Genshin Impact Sara guides. Besides looking at individual characters, we also have a guide on the upcoming Genshin Impact update and information on the next Genshin Impact banner.
There have been a lot of questions floating around, asking who exactly Genshin Impact’s Baal is. Well, spoiler – it’s Raiden Shogun! She goes by a few different names; Baal, Raiden Shogun, the Electro Archon, and the God of Eternity. With this many names, you know she’s important.
Raiden’s banner, Reign of Serenity, is currently running as part of the second phase of Version 3.3. This banner runs concurrently with Genshin Ayato‘s rerun, Azure Excursion. They both feature Kujou Sara, Rosaria, and Sayu as boosted-rate 4-Stars, too. Check out our Genshin Impact next banner guide to find out more.
We recommend using Raiden Shogun as a secondary DPS due to her strong burst damage and support capabilities. Increasing her energy recharge will increase her Electro damage bonus, enhancing both her burst and stable energy support potential even further. She can also provide consistent electro status thanks to her skill, all of which makes her a great support for characters with powerful burst damage like Eula.
Raiden Shogun wields a polearm, and has the ability to deal some nasty damage with these weapons. Mihoyo released Engulfing Lightning alongside her and it compliments her abilities well, therefore is the best weapon for Raiden Shogun. However, if you can’t get your hands on one yet, the others are all strong substitutes in its place.
|Weapon||Effect||How to obtain|
|Engulfing Lightning||Bonus effect: increases energy recharge%

You can equip five artifacts in total. The first option below – Emblem of Severed Fate – is our recommended choice, due to it enhancing that tasty electro-damage bonus. If you don’t have access to this, combining Thundering Fury and Noblesse Oblige is a suitable alternative.
|Artifact set||Effect||Where to get|
|Emblem of Severed Fate
|Two equipped: energy recharge is boosted by 20%
Four equipped: elemental burst damage is increased by 25% of energy recharge. A maximum of 75% bonus damage can be obtained in this way

Musou Isshin: While in this state, Raiden Shogun will wield her tachi in battle. Her normal, charged, and plunging attacks are infused with electro damage, which cannot be overridden. Constellations are buffs that improve the character’s performance in battles. You can level up Raiden Shogun’s constellations when you get a duplicate of her while making a wish.
